Please see post below from the NJ Division of Taxation and see NJ Division of Taxation – Property Tax Relief Programs for more information. Property Tax Relief Programs: New Combined Application The Division of Taxation has made it easier for seniors and those receiving Social Security Disability in New Jersey to apply for Property Tax Relief through a new, streamlined process. Those taxpayers – for the first time – can apply for three different property tax relief programs on a single form. The Division created a combined application for the Senior Freeze (Property Tax Reimbursement), ANCHOR, and Stay NJ programs for residents 65 and over, or those collecting Social Security Disability Benefits. We will determine your eligibility, and send you a letter outlining the specific benefits for which you qualify. Online filing and a mail-in form will be available starting in February. You can easily find updated information regarding all three programs, including new eligibility requirements and how benefits are calculated. We also created a new set of frequently asked questions, a list of outreach events to explain the programs, and the option to schedule a telephone appointment with our agents – all in one convenient place. |
